I’ve been waiting for Christmas, And it’s almost here. I’ve been waiting for Christmas, Santa’s getting near. Can’t you hear the sleigh bells ringing? Reindeer up so high. Can’t you hear the children singing, As they watch the sky?
Christmas Is Coming
Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat, Please to put a penny in an old man’s hat; If you haven’t got a penny a ha’penny will do, If you haven’t got a ha’penny, God bless you.

In order to expand the skills required, it's even possible let them organize more difficult missions, and ask them to take decisions like a place where they would go and how to reach it. The finalities are the acquisition of the abilities for communication the acquisition of a positive motivation for learning a second language
Metodology
In this first part of the year, the cildren of the first class, aren't able to write, so I prefer or to teach oraly, to listen a CD, to sing a song or to play a game. For this activity, after the work on the book, they play a game of "The witch says..." and colour a card.
"The witch says...." With a counting out rhyme, a "witch" is selected. The witch calls out a colour; all the players must go and touch a "thing" of that colour: it can be clothes, objects, or anything in the nature and environment. The game ends when the witch touches a player before he/she can touch the wanted colour. This player will be the witch for the next round of the game.

Short Christmas Poems
RispondiEliminaI’ve Been Waiting For Christmas
I’ve been waiting for Christmas,
And it’s almost here.
I’ve been waiting for Christmas,
Santa’s getting near.

Reindeer up so high.
Can’t you hear the children singing,
As they watch the sky?

Please to put a penny in an old man’s hat;
If you haven’t got a penny a ha’penny will do,
If you haven’t got a ha’penny, God bless you.
Thank you Edgarda for this nice poem, I'm going to use it in my next english lessons.
